It's been more than ten years since I've written for IMBF. There's no good reason why. Ostensibly it's because Apple discontinued iWeb but that wouldn't be very honest. iWeb was discontinued in July 2011 and I stopped writing here well before that. More likely it's the inevitable entropy that accompanies any personal blog. You start out with gleeful ambition only to ghost away once it's clear you've just created another chore to avoid.
Even so, writing is fun for me, just like travel and food. And people in my orbit often ask for recommendations and stories. Rather than start up something entirely new (sweeping the remains of prior attempts under the rug) I thought, hey, let's bring back all that old content.Â
Well, enjoy the 65 articles written back in (mostly) 2010. I'm going to try and write new stuff in hopes IMBF becomes more than one, spectacular vacation archive. As pandemic restrictions lift and my wife and I travel once more, I'm hoping there's a lot left to write about.Â
PS - not content with one blog I've actually committed to several, covering music, finance, and politics. Check them all out, along with my creative ventures, at Off The Clock Productions.Â
