It’s late, I’ve been drinking scotch all day, and tomorrow is an early rise. So, a slightly abbreviated post for tonight.Â
It’s been a great day. We started at Balthazar in SoHo. Tina met Getty-pal Noel for coffee while I wandered a bit. After coffee, Tina was photographed by Mark Fisher in a random chance kind-of-way. We wandered for the streets of SoHo for a bit, then off to the Meatpacking district.
One of the many high points in our NY trip was Highline Park. We strolled along the urban oasis for about an hour -- and it was amazing. The walk made us hungry for lunch, so we dropped in to 5 ninth (well, we had reservations). We had the place to ourselves but the food and service was outstanding.Â
Next up: Chelsea. We wandered the market and a few streets before heading up to B&H in midtown. I’d wanted a new camera and decided to give the Lumix DMC-LX3 a go. So far, so good.
We cab back to the hotel, glam up, and cab over to Gilt. It was the best meal we’ve had in New York, and is dead even with L’atellier. Check out our slideshow to sample our chef’s tasting menu.
Last stop: the flagship Apple store. It’s a beautiful building; an icon for design and consumption. As you might imagine, I snapped a few pictures. They can be found at the end of today’s slideshow. Enjoy!
